An Exemplary End Result
Our greatest achievement to date has been the completion of a QC3 hatchery in Wagga Wagga NSW. It was a unique and challenging build, as it is the first Quarantine facility built to the new Federal Department of Agriculture and Water Resources standards, we are especially proud to say that we achieved the required leakage rate of less than 2 litres per second.
When you consider the size of the building, some 1920m2 of floor area or 5724 cubic meters of air quantity, it is an outstanding result of 0.81 litres per second. We were told initially we could never achieve the results in such a big area, but our aim was to surpass expectations, and we did.
What made the job even more challenging was achieving a balance between being compliant to all codes, as well as having a safe environment for chickens to hatch and grow, as they are very sensitive to temperature and air flow rates.
